This is a really helpful, practical guide.
Very easy for trainees to engage with - particularly those who are not 'academic' - this is a really important point as som eof our more vocationally based trainees are oftne uncomfortable when engaging with theory.

The book is well structured and has a very useful introduction which informs you how to use the book and locate what you require.
\
In each chapter there is a brief introduction which helpfully sets out what the chapter includes and at the end of each chapter provides us with a summary and useful further reading and useful points of reference.
\
Each chapter includes sub headings which makes it easy to locate relevant information. The language used throughout the book is clear, easy to understand, jargon free, yet appropriate for the content of the book and the informaton to be conveyed to the reader.
\
Over all a useful point of reference for anyone undertaking the Ptlls assessment and recommended to any student embarking on the Ptlls assessments.

This is a very useful update and contains some very useful information for students undertaking PTLLS. It is a book that I will encourage my students to buy as I think it will help them to focus on the role of the teacher in lifelong learning. It has a good layout and is very readable.
I think the Harvard referencing chapter is extremely useful and user friendly.
I would highly recommend this book for my tutors.

I have recommended that my students who are starting the new City and Guilds Award still access/purchase this book as the content is still relevant.

An informative book with much guidance for teachers and learners. Appropriate information required to assist in the planning of the units and in completing the required information to pass the PTLLS standards. Have recommended this book as an essential handbook on the PTLLS.
