An excellent book that we are strongly recommending to our learners. Most of the existing class have bought it.
This was highly recommended to learners on the new PTLLS award and we have ordered a copy for our LRC, as well as recommending it to trainees. However, its value is somewhat diminished by the planned changes in teacher training qualifications, so not as much use will be made of it as was hoped, before it will need to be rewritten to meet whatever new course is designed.
Another good text from Gravells - easy to read, with examples and activities to help not only the learner but also the teacher.
The book is easy to read and is explicitly focussed on the course which makes it an invaluable text for the students.

As with previous editions, an easy read and makes understanding the requirements of the new award simple. It has certainly helped me in transferring across to the new scheme and I am sure the students will find it as useful as I have.

Given the variety available in structuring this new course, the book provides clarity on the best approaches for both learners & providers in creating best fit. It also indicates clearly the content of each Unit & the expected quality of return from the participants.
