A good readable book that is practical and accessible.

Provides information at a basic level which can be useful for people returning to learning. Is not as comprehensive as other books such as Reece & Walker. It is OK as a starting point if learners are struggling with more academic literature.

Another good text from Gravells - easy to read, with examples and activities to help not only the learner but also the teacher.

keeping the older version for now - revalidating next year

Good coverage of the basics. Layout clear. Some tables of information are too detailed and confusing for those new to teaching.
