Please note: This book has since been updated to reflect the new title of the qualification: The Award in Education and Training. The qualification unit content contained in the appendices has since changed, and some legislation mentioned in the book has been updated.
A useful update on the previous version of this book that matches the new award spec and should again be well used by students
Excellent resource for learners. The book is compartmentalized into easy to access sections that correspond to qualification units.
Essential reading for anyone embarking on the new version of the PTLLS. My learners have found it most useful when preparing their assignments.
Helped my students get to grips with the new qualification
Those PTLLS students who are new to this level of academic work need all the help they can get when it comes to completing their summative assignments. Ann Gravells books go straight to the heart of the matter and inexperienced trainees can use the material easily to support what they learn in class and as a reference for written work.
A very thorough book with very good reading material to underpin learning that has taken place in the classroom.
We ask our students to purchase a copy before the course starts.
A 'must have' text for students on the PTLLS programme.
Very clearly written with all essential elements necessary to equip learners to prepare towards teaching and to tackle the assignments as set out by City & Guilds.
A good book for the PTLLS course. The author is actively invovled with the ITT qualification and also writes useful links via Linkedin professional networking site. This book has been superseded with a fifth edition with the new units, however this book still remains a good resource for those completing the PTLLS course.
Excellent text. Learners have found it accessible and easy to navigate. Good use of tables to cover large amounts of information succinctly.
