Victoria Costa has taught chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, and education at the secondary, community college, and university levels. She is the director of science education at California State University, Fullerton. Her research focuses on recruitment, development, and support of secondary science teachers and the preparation of all teachers to support 21st-century learning in technology-rich environments.

Rita Janes has spent a lifetime as a teacher. She taught at all levels of schooling, including the teaching of mathematics and mathematics education for pre-service teachers. She served as mathematics professional development consultant at the district level with responsibilities from kindergarten to grade 12.

Elizabeth Strong is first and foremost a teacher. Her career began as a primary/elementary teacher, then elementary school administer, school district primary education coordinator and university professor. Elizabeth’s professional journey has focused mainly on literacy, language arts, and children’s literature.

Acacia M. Warren, Ed.D.,is currently an assistant principal in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), where she has served as a teacher, coach, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) coordinator, Response to Intervention (RtI) Expert, Common Core Facilitator, and district coordinator.

Marilyn Tallerico is a professor of Educational Leadership at Syracuse University. She teaches graduate courses in professional development, curriculum leadership, assessment of teaching, and politics of education. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Staff Development, as well as numerous other research and practitioner journals. She is widely published in the areas of the superintendency, gender, and educational leadership.

Andy Moffit is a Senior Practice Expert and a co-founder of McKinsey & Company’s Global Education Practice. Moffit joined the firm in 2000 and has served clients in the financial services, non-profit and public sectors on a wide range of strategic and organizational issues. Since 2005, he has worked exclusively with education clients—large urban districts, state education departments, national foundations and nonprofits, and private companies—on large-scale reform and key strategic efforts.
