Beth and Ruth have been successfully using their education, personal experience, and passion in children’s social development for over a decade. They found that children were not applying the social skills they had learned into school and community settings. There were few programs dealing with socialization that accommodated children on many different interactive levels.

Robert W. Cole is proprietor and founder of Edu-Data, a firm specializing in writing, research, and publication services. He was a member of the staff of Phi Delta Kappan magazine for 14 years: assistant editor 1974-1976, managing editor 1976-1980, and editor-in-chief 1981-88. During his tenure as editor-in-chief, the Kappan earned more than 40 Distinguished Achievement Awards from the Association of Educational Publishers, three of them for his editorials.

Gera Jacobs is a professor of early childhood education and taught kindergarten, preschool, and the elementary grades for many years. She has published articles in a number of national and regional journals and produced a CD-ROM on inclusion for young children with special needs. She has presented at numerous state, regional, and national conferences, and has conducted many inservice presentations for teachers.

Kathy Crowley is a kindergarten teacher and has taught kindergarten, preschool, and the elementary grades for many years. She was director of an afterschool program and a member of the South Dakota Early Learning Guidelines Panel. Serving as a teacher leader for a statewide mathematics initiative, she provides training to other teachers on innovative math strategies.

Brian Mendler is a certified elementary and special education teacher with extensive experience working with challenging students in general education, self-contained, and inclusion settings. As an Adjunct Professor at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, he teaches Behavior Management, and Introduction to Special Education.

Dr. Allen Mendler is an educator, school psychologist, behavior and classroom management expert, and parent of three children. He has worked extensively with children of all ages in regular education and special education settings. He has consulted to many schools on the topics of discipline, behavior, and classroom management. He has also consulted at day and residential centers, and has done extensive work with youth in juvenile detention.

RoseAnne O'Brien Vojtek has served as an elementary principal at Ivy Drive Elementary School in Bristol, Connecticut, for the past 10 years. Previously she was the director of instruction for Oregon City School District in Oregon, and an elementary principal at Joseph Gale Elementary School in Forest Grove, Oregon. Vojtek also taught for 11 years for the Winston-Dillard School District in Oregon at both the elementary and middle school levels.
