Doing good analyses of qualitative data is something that many students struggle with. I think this book exemplifies very well how qualitative data can be analysed in a very systematic way.
I like this book but not for the intro into qualitative research as it assumes understanding of the basic methods, concepts and the on-going discourse in qualitative research--ie it is a bit to advanced. Our intro course is to be taken by all PhD students and not just for those planning on qualitative research.
However, I think it would work well for our advanced qualitative course but that is still in developement and not slated to be taught until 2012.
