Padmaja P. Sarathy

Padmaja Sarathy is an author and a consultant specializing in special education and early childhood education. Her consulting assignments focus on the development and implementation of “Best Practice Models” to enhance program quality and student achievement. Blending her extensive knowledge and expertise in early childhood and special education programs, she has authored five books published by LRP Publications. The books provide practical and hands-on tools to educators and parents. She has experience in supervision and assessment and in the classroom with diverse student populations spanning over 25 years in both the United States and in Europe. Her academic credentials include advanced work in educational diagnosis and supervision. As a special education administrator in a large Texas school district, she developed an award-winning Early Childhood Transition Model program and created a video to showcase the model.

An acclaimed presenter, she inspires and energizes teachers and program directors to lead students to success with best-practice strategies. She is frequently an invited speaker/trainer at international, national and regional conferences, including DEC and CEC. She conceptualizes and organizes learning and literacy fairs to increase awareness and involvement. Her strong passion for serving children with special needs extends to the developing world - India. She offers professional training and designs conferences to empower those working in the field of special education, shares educational resources, raises funds, and organizes special fund-raising events locally and donates part of the proceeds from her consulting services.
