Elena Grigorenko is associate professor of child studies and psychology at Yale University and associate professor of psychology at Moscow State University. Grigorenko has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and books. She has received many professional awards, and her research has been funded by various federal and private organizations.

Bruce M. Shore is emeritus professor of Educational Psychology at McGill University in Montreal, fellow of the American Educational Research Association, and a licensed teacher and psychologist. For 21 years, he was jointly appointed in McGill’s teaching-improvement unit. He served as department chair, McGill Association of University Teachers President, and dean of students.

Dr. Timothy J. Lewis has been involved in special education for over 20 years. Dr. Lewis has taught students with emotional and behavioral disorders in high school, elementary, and self-contained psychiatric settings. At present, Dr. Lewis is Professor and Associate Dean for Research, Development, and Graduate Studies at the University of Missouri. Dr. Lewis has been involved with developing school-wide systems of behavioral support for over 15 years.

Dr. Melissa Stormont has been involved in special education and psychology for over 15 years. Dr. Stormont has worked to support children with behavioral problems as a teacher, behavioral consultant, and through teaching teachers and conducting research in higher education. Currently, Dr. Stormont is an Associate Professor in Special Education at the University of Missouri. Dr.

Ian M. Evans is Professor of Psychology at Massey University in New Zealand. After his PhD at the University of London’s Institute of Psychiatry, he taught behavior assessment and therapy for many years at the University of Hawai’i while also serving as consultant psychologist to specialized programs for children and adults with very complex developmental needs.

Mitchell L. Yell, Ph.D., is the Fred and Francis Lester Palmetto Chair in Teacher Education and a Professor in Special Education at the University of South Carolina. His professional interests include special education law, positive behavior support, IEP development, and parent involvement in special education. Dr.

Terrance M. Scott is a senior principal education researcher at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI). Before joining SRI in 2020, Dr. Scott spent 24 years as a professor and researcher in special education. He began his career as a counselor in residential treatment and has worked with students with challenging behaviors across a variety of settings.

Douglas Fisher is professor and chair of educational leadership at San Diego State University and a leader at Health Sciences High and Middle College. Previously, Doug was an early intervention teacher and elementary school educator.  He is a credentialed teacher and leader in California.  In 2022, he was inducted into the Reading Hall of Fame by the Literacy Research Association.

Evelyn S. Johnson is an associate professor of special education at Boise State University and the coauthor of RTI: A Practitioner’s Guide to Implementing Response to Intervention. She began her career in Washington in 1994 as a special education teacher, and then at the University of Washington, Seattle, where her research focused on the inclusion of students with disabilities in accountability systems.

Nancy Frey is professor of educational leadership at San Diego State University and a leader at Health Sciences High and Middle College. Previously, Nancy was a teacher, academic coach, and central office resource coordinator in Florida.  She is a credentialed special educator, reading specialist, and administrator in California.  She is a member of the International Literacy Association’s Literacy Research Panel.
