Jianjun (Adam) Wang is senior instructional technology specialist at Williams College. He has been responsible for collaborating in the design and development of STRIDE. He has also been instrumental in the implementation of STRIDE in the preparation of future teachers, as well as the ongoing professional development of practicing educators.

Judy R. Wilkerson is an Associate Professor of Research and Assessment at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in measurement and evaluation. As in this book and all of her research, she focuses her efforts with students on providing a highly pragmatic approach, based in theory, with the goal of instilling a commitment in them to assess K-12 learning. Her Ph.D.

William Steve Lang is a Professor of Educational Measurement and Research at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, where he teaches graduate courses in measurement, statistics, and research.   He, too, focuses his teaching on making meaningful and pragmatic uses of the disciplines he teaches.  He earned his Ph.D.

Cicely A. Rude teaches in the Benerd School of Education at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She earned her Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. In addition to working as a public school substitute teacher for two years, her diverse experiences include teaching English in Japan, teaching adult English as a Second Language (ESL), and teaching linguistics.

After graduating from Emory University, David Fulton taught high school and middle school for four years in Denver, Colorado. While in graduate school, he worked for the State Department of Education in Wisconsin, was a researcher for a National Science Foundation-funded school reform project, and supervised preservice social studies teachers.

Timothy Gangwer is a pioneer in the field of visual learning and a dedicated educator of 26 years. He has served as visual literacy consultant to the Ministry of Education, Paris, France; Ministry of Education, Toranomon, Japan; Mediterranean Association of International Schools, Casablanca, Morocco; Association of International Schools in Africa, Abidjan, Ivory Coast; and as a trainer for the United States Department of Education’s National Diffusion Network.

Steve Reifman has been an elementary school teacher for more than 13 years. During that time, he has earned National Board Certification, traveled to Japan as a Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar, and completed two master’s degrees. He has experience working with students in all of the elementary grades, and he has taught in both public and private schools. Currently, Reifman teaches third grade at Roosevelt Elementary School in Santa Monica, California.

Alison L. Bailey is Professor of Human Development and Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles, working on issues germane to children’s linguistic, social, and educational development.
