Louie F. Rodríguez obtained a doctorate in education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Urban Education and Social Foundations at Florida International University in Miami. He is also a Research Fellow at the Center for Urban Education and Innovation at FIU. While at Harvard, Dr. Rodríguez worked with several urban elementary, middle and high schools and communities as a teacher, consultant, and researcher.

Dr. Cheryl Holcomb-McCoy believes in the revolutionary power of school counseling. An American Counseling Association (ACA) Fellow with 30 years of experience as a former kindergarten teacher, elementary school counselor, family therapist, and most recently university professor and administrator, she has a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and wisdom.

Coby V. Meyers is a doctoral student in the Leadership, Policy, and Organizations program at Vanderbilt University. His current research interests include school improvement, sociology of education, and Islamic school education. Previously, he taught middle school and high school English at an Islamic school in the Chicago suburbs.

Rebecca S. Beckner is an early childhood behavior consultant with the public schools in Columbia, Missouri. She has been a family and individual counselor and owned a childcare center for ten years, specializing in the care of children with behavioral concerns. Becky currently participates in the evaluation of young children in the area of social/emotional/behavioral functioning and serves children with severe behavior problems and their families.
