She earned her doctorate from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and carried out her postdoctoral research at McGill University.

Dr. Finson is a professor of science education at Bradley University in Peoria, IL, where he teaches elementary and secondary science education courses. His teaching has included middle school and high school life, physical, and earth sciences, college-level earth science content courses, a foundations course in strategies and techniques, and graduate courses in instructional theory and program evaluation.

Dr. Christine K. Ormsbee joined the OSU College of Education June 2006 as Professor and Head of the School of Teaching and Curriculum Leadership. Dr. Ormsbee holds a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Kansas, a Masters degree in special education from Emporia State University and a Bachelors degree in psychology and special education from Emporia State University.

Dr. Mary Jensen has been a professor of Special Education at Western Illinois University (WIU) in Macomb, IL since 1990. She teaches college students to be outstanding special education teachers for students with mild to moderate disabilities. The special education courses she teaches are related to behavior management methods and characteristics and teaching methods for students with mild to moderate disabilities. Dr.

Howard M. Knoff, Ph.D. is the creator and Director of Project ACHIEVE. After 22 years as a university professor, he is now a full-time national consultant, author, and lecturer; and he has been the Director of the State Improvement/Personnel Development Grant for the Arkansas Department of Education—Special Education Unit since 2003.

Before retiring from SEDL in October, 2010, D'Ette F. Cowan led Texas Comprehensive Center efforts to assist state and intermediate agencies in providing high-needs districts and schools with technical assistance that is systemic in nature. In her 12-year career at SEDL, she also assisted low-performing districts and schools throughout a five-state region to improve student learning, and investigated strategies for transforming schools into professional learning communities.

Shirley Beckwith is a Communications Associate with SEDL's Texas Comprehensive Center (TXCC). She provides editorial review of training materials and resources used in meetings hosted by the TXCC and prepares materials for submission to national evaluators. She also provides and reviews content for the TXCC Web site.
