Susan Barnett has been in the field of education for 33 years. She has an AB Degree in Early Childhood from Marshall University, in Huntington, West Virginia and a Master Degree in School Administration from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.

She is dedicated to urban education and is known for her cultural identity research in STEM and leadership. As a wife and mother of three daughters, her family's experiences underscored the importance of cultural identities and agency. Dr.

Sarah Fine is an Assistant Professor of Education Studies at the University of California, San Diego.
