Lynda Tredway began her career as a teacher, project coordinator, teacher-educator, and leader-educator in 1969 in D.C. Public Schools as a secondary classroom teacher. She has worked with students and teachers in her role as Socratic Seminar Coordinator for DC Schools and Project Coordinator for National History Day at DC Historical Society, graduate students at George Washington University in teacher education and U.C. Berkeley’s Principal Leadership Institute for 19 years.

Frank Lyman was an elementary school teacher and a field-based educator of both university students and classroom teachers, K-12, from 1960 to 1996. He discovered and collaborated in the development of teaching strategies such as Think-Pair-Share, cognitive mapping, and the ThinkTrix. He worked with teachers, graduate students, and university colleagues to develop reflective teacher tools, such as theory-practice templates and a problem solving/research design.
