Frank Lyman was an elementary school teacher and a field-based educator of both university students and classroom teachers, K-12, from 1960 to 1996. He discovered and collaborated in the development of teaching strategies such as Think-Pair-Share, cognitive mapping, and the ThinkTrix. Prior to this position, he served as a teacher and administrator in public schools throughout the Saint Louis area. Dr. Troy Hicks is an associate professor of English at Central Michigan University and focuses his work on the teaching of writing, literacy and technology, and teacher education and professional development.
