Alisha Demchak, M.Ed., is an early childhood educator and researcher whose passion for improving reading outcomes for all learners is visible across her work. Alisha has taught in early childhood classrooms and mixed-age settings, served as a reading specialist and interventionist, and coached early childhood educators, administrators, and literacy coordinators.

Lidia Gonzalez is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at York College of the City University of New York. A first generation college graduate, she began her career as a high school mathematics teacher in a large, comprehensive high school in New York City.

Rebecca McKinney, EdD, is the director of the Office of Gifted Education with the Colorado Department of Education. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver. She began her career in 1997 as an elementary teacher and athletic coach.   After several years in elementary classrooms, Dr.

Colleen Urlik, EdD, holds her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver and is the Principal at Hulstrom K-8, the Adams 12 Five Star School District’s magnet school for Advanced and Gifted Learners. She has been in education since 2003 in various roles, beginning as a classroom teacher, working with traditionally marginalized students, where her passion for equity and inclusion developed. Dr.

Kyle Hattie is a Year 6 Teacher at Harvest Primary school (1000 students in north Melbourne).  He has taught at all levels of primary school in NZ and Victoria, specialised in innovative learning environments, and was an acting Assistant Principal of Stonefields in Auckland.
